Good Grief...
How about the title.....
"Lost Forever: The Art Of Film Preservation".
Is that a short enough summary.?

Nice little video,,did not think that digital was changing so fast that it is not a good medium for long term storage compared to film.

I think the reference related to the fact that the post has no clear definition, and some of the reason for that is related to user installed software. Myself, just because, I won't click on a link or a video that I know nothing about at all. Many of us have software that prevents videos from automatically playing, and it's a smart move to do that, so all I am seeing on your first post is four non descriptive words, a black rectangle w/ a deal in the middle to click on to play the video, and an untitled link on the bottom. For many of us, that's all we see, and we have absolutely no idea what the post is about, or the video, or the apug link. We have a title that says "preservation", and a post that says "This is pretty fascinating", and "and related", along w/ that black box and a link. From just that, I don't have enough to go on, so no video or link clicking to find out.

Only speaking for myself, i have never had a problem with a Youtube link on a Hobby Forum.
If somebody does not want to click on it, i respect that.
But some perceived "threat" was not the complaint by Wayne...it was not having a whole, 27 minutes to waste.
BTW...you do not HAVE TO watch the whole video, you can start it, watch maybe 27 seconds, and then turn it off if it holds no interest.
Again, somebody does not want to watch it, i get that...just move on to one of the other 97 Billion links to choose from on the WWW.
