I need a stop watch sometimes in the day job, and also for processing the C41.
After fiddling with the one on the phone, and losing data at times, I went to the old jewelry store in a nearby small town.
They had a new, old stock stop watch , Arnex brand looks like 1960's vintage, of stainless steel with big buttons so I can use it with gloves on in steel mills and it does not mind getting wet while I am handling the C41 tank.

It cost too much, but in the end was a good investment.

Where do I start!

I ride and restore retro bikes. Still use a Filofax, but do have a circa 2003 Ipaq, I use a flip phone which only allows texts and calls.

My Hifi system is made up of 80's separates and I prefer cassettes to CD's.

My calculators are from the 80's and of course I use film.

I've probably forgotten a few things too.

I use tube amps for guitar. Mine are mostly old but there is a surprising number of new tube amplifiers on the market these days.

Film
Extra amateur radio license
Vinyl records and CDs although I prefer the former.
Offroading with an automatic transmission [better for rock crawling]
Printed books
Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Doors, Beatles, Alice Cooper, Stepphenwolf, Led Zepplin, ZZ Top ... good Classical music

On the other hand I have a recumbent bicycle.

I own and use everyday a 1939 Frigidaire ("Made only by General Motors"), and a 1937 Marlboro Universal gas range; they run perfectly and likely will for a long time. This winter at a local thrift store I found a 1936 GE mixer that works great, has all the attachments, and looks nearly new.

My favorite bike is a 1972 Raleigh 3 speed. I listen regularly to a 1918 Victrola. My landline phone is a 1920s Western Electric E1 desk model, with separate oak ringer-box (one reason I won't soon ditch the landline, even though mostly I use a mobile). Pretty much every room in my house has one or more examples of superseded, but working gadget.

I've got no desire to live in the past - modern medicine and the right to vote are wonderful things. Most of my job, leisure time, shopping, bill-paying, etc. are done online. But vintage technology appeals to me in a way that the new stuff just can't. My bakelite phone has been useful to generations of people, for its intended purpose, for about 80 years - I won't be able to say that about my HTC One.

Tubes only for guitar amps! And yes, many manufacturers are returning to tubes after the horror of solid state.

I found a deal on some old RCA preamp tubes from a Baldwin organ. Stuck them in my (modern) Egnater tube amp and though it wasn't a jaw-dropping revelation, it's definitely noticeable - like I took a thin blanket off the speakers or something. A little more "3D" sound. And those suckers are from the 50's most likely. Like Kodak Ektalure, Ektachrome EPJ, and Polagraph film, beautiful vacuum tubes are a thing of the past - when they're gone, they're gone.

Kinda funny that my only recent playing has been in a punk-parody band where I just out everything on "10", but throwing in an old Marshall 4x12 cabinet and it's thunder-of-the-gods time!

I am Dikkie Smythe in my other life:
