Do members 'Pre-soak' their C41 films ? I'm never sure if it affects the colour balance and contrast when I do my Rollfilm' outdated films-- I did an 07/2003 dated Kodak Portra 400 VC 220 size and pre-soaked for 1 minute at 102 o F and when I tipped out the water it was bright GREEN from the anti-halation dye si I hoped to save it going into the Colour Developer -- but I am wondering if the film it swollen does the developer permeate the emulsion layers differently if it went in 'dry' ? Most of my outdated 35mm films I have done by a professional Mini-lab now and they don't pre-soak.
