PRAKTICA VF German-made Lens Recommendations?

There were two VF versions, the plain VF is stated to had been produced in only 8700 samples.

Indeed, I saw a fairly legitimate source stating there were only about 8500-9000 of the plain Praktica VF produced, which would make a bit more rare. Pretty cool! Thanks, @AgX

On the whole I think you’ll find that Tessars (and Xenars), while quite sharp, have much lower contrast than most modern lenses.

I have found that the Tessar produces noticeably better contrast when used with the proper hood and filter(s).

It is in Exakta mount, the OP needs a lens in M42 mount. Both, sole fixinig but also the automatic diaphragm would not work on any Praktica.
