Hello, i have a praktica mtl5b 35mm slr camera. i shot one roll of film with it successfully but on my second roll the film advance lever wouldn't move forward. the shutter button wont work and the mirror is down.

Try pulling down on the shutter curtain with your fingernail. If this works, fire the camera at a fast shutter speed a few times. (The shutter doesn't complete its cycle.) If that doesn't work, try slapping the bottom of the camera on a flat surface. The problem is that a spring loaded catch on film advance shaft is in an incorrect position. Hope this helps. Chuck

Try rotating the sprocket that moves the film. If it's not at the end of it's travel it may lock the camera up.
