I've posted all mine now:D.

I received Black Dog's card a bit early, for it accompanied his fine print from (there was a url link here which no longer exists) to me.
I'm not sure if everyone is getting the same, so I won't say too much, but I love pinhole images ...

I have a collection of four very nice cards. The card from brunostreet is very nice. I like how the figures almost jump off the paper. The floodlight in the upper left corner acts like the sun shining on these athletes. The photo from mike c shows how one kind of object can describe another. The tones in the photo are nicely balanced. A card from Keith Pitman shows a place that probably has lots of photographic possibilities. Nicely focused 5x7 negative. I like how the trees focus the viewer to the palm like plants. The photo of apples from Black Dog is simple and beautiful. I like the repeating patterns, but only two of the apples are in focus. The side lighting gives the apples shape and texture. Well done.

Thanks to all for some great images.

Regards,
Darwin

I was surprised how many cards went out to international addresses. Half of the 20 went out overseas.
Found out that ink I used to print the addresses on the back of the cards smudges really badly. I had to put tape over the addresses to keep them from being smeared all over. I hope they arrive ok.

Got a headlamp and grill form a what looks like a Morris Miner from Johnny Atari. Well balanced and printed. Do not know if it is a Miner, did know a guy that had one in High school about 50 years ago. Great card Chris.

Mike,

from memory, I don't think it's a Morris Minor. I'll have a look at the other negatives on the film roll as I'm sure I got a shot of the whole of the front of the car.

50 years ago is hard to remember anymore, one guy had a Morris and another was a Austin mini-cooper.

This week I got 4 postcards!

- two car themed postcards from mike c and Johnny Atari that go surprisingly well together. Even the paper is the same, I'm loving this Ilford Glossy Postcard Paper, but it's impossible to get in Portugal..
- A very nice one from TheToadMen, it really looks like a postcard that you can buy in a store! (in a good way, of course). The pinhole and the colours worked very well.
- The last one was from Keith Pitman, the detail on this one is amazing! I prefer it with more blacks though, but maybe it's just me!

Got the Toadmen card ,there's an eerie feeling of motion to this card. Don't tailgate, or get to close to this trailer. The sky and the clouds really make the scene more active to me.

My postcards are finally in the mail. I had them printed back in January, but too many things have been happening and I only now found the time to mail them. Enjoy!
I have received several very nice cards. I will try to comment on them by the end of this month.

I'm slow to deliver this round. The past weeks, I worked through a backlog of some 20-odd undeveloped rolls of film. Just when I finished, the summer heat got stuck in the house, especially in the darkroom directly under the roof. So all darkroom activity is postponed until the weather cools down a bit. When it does, I'm pretty sure there's something worth printing in the stack of developed negatives. Don't worry, sooner or later I will print and send my cards.

I've received a few cards since I last commented, I will soon find some time to comment on the newest cards received. Short version: all very nice, thank you!

I too have received many nice cards, but I have to wait until the semester is finished (3 more days!) to comment. My cards are almost finished. They're printed but they need a little bleach and maybe toner to make them sing. Hopefully I can get them done this weekend as well when I need a break from grading.

Anikin card in the mail today, nice one of a trader and or maker of fur coats in a market place in Armenia. Good photograph of the man and his trade, but I'm sitting here in 90+ deg.F weather looking at this guy wearing a full length fur coat, I would not say the coat looks warm, but HOT!!!

Another 5 cards have come my way since my last update. I plan to get my cards printed this weekend and in the post next week.

darinwc - "Leland Stanford Mansion" Paterns everywhere, lines curves, diamonds, blacks and whites. Great choice on the pearl paper.
thetoadman - "Following a truck for 280meters in 10 seconds". Fantastic idea. I wish I had thought of doing something like this.
Johnny Atari - Car headlamp. Looks like a one-eye monster. Another card of paterns, curves and lines. Great tone.
Anikin - "Fur Trader" This postcard makes me feel I am actually there. Thanks.
Keith Pitman - "Jekyll Island" I'd like to see this image blown up on one of my walls.

I love the unique sharp but unsharp, slightly trippy feel pinhole gives, especially with colour (I've been doing some 4x5 slides with my Zero image recently).

My cards went out last Sunday (!) and I was hoping to write comments on everyone's cards but with all the grading I had to do for the end of the semester, I just couldn't do it (4 high level academic writing courses will do that to you!). And now I'm in Finland kind of, on the ferry to Estonia, so it'll be awhile before I comment on any cards. I was going through my bag and noticed that I had about 5 more cards to go out, that didn't make it last week due to lack of stamps. Those will also have to go out once I get back since they they have been since stamped with Japanese stamps. I tell you, the last two weeks have been such a blur I'm not sure how I made it here all in one piece.

In any event, looking forward to having more cards to look at when I get home at the end of the month!
