There is currently a postal workers strike in Canada and Canada Post has apparently advised all other countries' postal services to not accept mail to Canada at this time. So, don't send your cards to Canadian addresses until that situation is resolved. And, of course, people in Canada (like me) cannot send cards at this time.

Regarding the Canada Post strike situation. Service resumes tomorrow (today is Thanksgiving holiday), but that service is going to be periodically interrupted by rotating strikes. That should not impact cards getting through other than delay them a bit. However, make sure the postal service in your country has resumed service to Canada before dropping off your cards. They should have.

Slowly ...

Canada
17 October 2025: On Monday, 20 October 2025, Australia Post will resume International Standard parcel services, Economy Air letter services and our International Post Registered letter services to and from Canada.

This follows a temporary suspension of postal services to Canada on Monday, 29 September 2025 due to union strike action by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW).

Canada Post has made progress in restarting its postal operations and has begun clearing delayed items caused by the full national strike action. However, customers should still expect significant delays as Canada Post works to clear the backlog of items and stabilise operations while the union moves to rotating strikes.

Monday it is...

My cards were mailed out today, with the exception of the cards destined for Canada...
I need to confirm that the USPS has resumed mail service to our Northern allies.

I want to go back to when all I had to worry about was nuclear annihilation. Tri-X was fast film and it cost a nickel to mail a postcard. Jeepers!

I received my very first postcard from round 66, an abstract "Ghost trees" from @ChrisR . Enjoyed your description of the technique to get there!

Yesterday, I found a beautiful postcard from PXC #66 in my mailbox, "Ghost Trees" by @ChrisR. It made me really happy! An abstract photo, done in shades of orange and teal. Thank you also for the detailed and interesting explanation about how this photo was created.

I just received AnselMortensen's "At Ease", he says it's a "found negative". And what an interesting find. It looks like a World War 2 shot. The first hint is that it's a 4x5 contact print. Very well exposed and printed, too. The scene is a makeshift photography studio. Four lights, hot lights, I can see the power cords with switches. A chair with one soldier sitting in it and another soldier by his side. Another soldier coming out from under a dark cloth and 4x5 camera, and a fourth soldier behind him, both with big laughs. And this whole scene taken with another 4x5 camera with a big strobe.

Interesting, indeed. Is this a family item? Like your father or grandfather was an army photographer?

Thanks Doug!

Regarding "At Ease"....
I found the negative in an unmarked manila envelope in a box of 'stuff' at a swap meet, sold buy a gent who buys old defaulted storage unit contents.
I saw the military and photography-related subject matter, and made a deal.
I contact-printed the neg, and noticed that the camera is a wartime-era Anniversary Speed Graphic, so earliest possible date would be around 1943.
(Black 'yoke' of the camera is a giveaway).
The film is Ansco, so that might help date the pic also.
Glad to see the soldiers having a good time....hence the title I gave the photo.
Cheers!

All my cards are printed. I found an old box of Kodak kodabromide 3 ½ x 5 inch postcards in my freezer. Almost certainly 30 years old or older. I even have a Speed-E-Zel for that size. The paper was single grade 3 contrast. When I printed the cards, the contrast seemed softer. Even the printing on the back side was muted. So what I have is a bunch of substandard (in my opinion) cards. But they are reasonable, at least, so I will send them. I will describe the cards later. There is not enough room on the back of the cards for a full description. The cards will probably start to go out on Monday.

I'll be printing this weekend. 3 negatives already selected for this round. As some of you know, I don't send everyone the same photo, I like to randomly mix things up. I also take the opportunity to make a nice 8x10 of each negative I do for these rounds, since I have everything already set up.

I received gbroadbridge's "White Bay Power Station" today. It is a picture of lots of meters (25 to be exact) on a control panel in an old power station. And none of the meters broken in. It is a cool shot of the now historic power station. Thanks Graham!

Great photo of an antique meter panel...Analog! 👍
Old-school tech is some of my favorite subject matter. Nicely done!
