BTW Matt, are you planning to get back into PCX?

I'm of two minds about this.
I used to have the benefit of being to travel to the USA to save on the substantial postage costs, but all my travel documentation lapsed during the height of the Covid pandemic, and I haven't decided whether or not to renew it.
The PCX still has a place in my heart though - participating in 41 such exchanges will do that for you.

@MattKing After 41 rounds, I can't blame you for taking a break. Maybe I'll send you a card unsolicited this round.

Thanks Don - not necessary, but the thought is appreciated. And if the address you have is older than early 2020, it would be out of date!

It would be difficult for it to be older than 2020, since I've only been here since 2021. I know you were in one exchange since I joined.

Of course - I guess these last couple of years have disrupted lots of recollections.
Exchange #55 was my last one - in 2022.

Looks like I'll skip this round. My parents, whose address I use for incoming mail, notified me about a "return to sender" envelope. One of those round 62 cards, I believe.

Another September and I'm a year older and time for a new round. Here is the sign up thread for round 63.

Please join in and keep postcards alive. Sign up lasts all September. I'll send you a list of wonderful people who like to send you postcards custom made just for you in October.

Digital shooters are welcome, I believe we only had a couple last round and all seemed to go well.

The FAQ and introduction documents have not been updated but for this round any manner of capture is permitted.
Alternate methods and processes will be appreciated. Let's see what you are up to.

Please sign up now and remember you can select the number of cards you want to send/receive.
Sign up runs the month of September, then you have two months to send and receive your cards.

OK, now the standard text, but please read on:

There are links to the FAQs and an Introduction in my signature at the bottom.

As in the previous rounds, please signup by starting a conversation with me (used to be called PM) containing your full name, address (including the country - this is an international exchange) and the number of cards you are able to send or say maximum for the maximum possible number of cards. You can also choose "ALL" you will still only receive the MAX number of cards but you will receive the complete list so you can share your work with everyone if you choose.

As in the previous rounds, if you have been in the exchange for the last couple rounds and if your address is the same, you can sign on just with giving the number of cards here in the thread. No PM needed in this case.

Important! As in the previous rounds I will post lists of participants in this thread every once in a while. If you signed in (or if you think so) please come back to this thread and check if your name is on the list. If the name should be on the list but is not, then let me know. Once the address lists are sent out early in February I can not do any changes. And also check for the number of cards behind your name.

There are a couple threads with an introduction and FAQs (check the links in my sig). Just send me a PM or ask here if you have any questions.

Please read on:

As in the previous rounds, not all participants have been able to send out the cards. For whatever reasons, if you have not fulfilled your last rounds commitment, send your cards before you sign in for this round. Just be fair. (and drop a note in the last round comments to let us know you are okay)

Now for those new to the postcard exchange, here is how it all works out.

First: It is fun!

Second: When registration is over, I will prepare address lists which I will send to the participants. You will have to send a card to every address on that list and you should receive back a card from everyone on that list. So if you join in for e.g. 20 cards you will have to send 20 cards and you should receive 20 cards back.

Third: Did I mention that it is fun? Where else can you receive cards from all over the world, different styles, different methods, different papers, and more.

George

Please add me to the list for all, I participated in the last exchange and am new to the blog process but I must admit I have enjoyed this exchange and the quality and imagination of all involved next round I will join in the conversations use the same information Thanks John Wilson

Just a note to everyone. I am in the heart of the hurricane Helene debacle, still without power. I will more than likely be delayed in getting my cards printed and out, but they will go out eventually. Looking forward the all the incoming!

Just got news from a friend over there and she's thankfully ok too. Hope you and yours are safe. I'll delay sending my postcard to you until things get back on track. Wishing you well!

Hey people.

Two weeks I made my 30 prints on my prefered Foma FB paper. I then put them all into a Delta Photo Blotter drying book and because I wanted them to dry nice and flat I also put a wooden plate on top.

A day later I got a call from my boss that my butt was needed urgently on a construction site for two weeks and I forgot my prints, only to come home now to find all your prints in my mail and to throw all my prints and the drying book and a lot of mould into the trash

Stupid mistake!

Thanks for your prints, but sorry, I have to do mine all a second time and will not find the time to do so within the next two weeks. You'll all get your cards, but it will take a bit longer this time.
