Another happy recipient of @Rob Skeoch 's cowboy. My third!
I can envision the day when we start exchanging them like trading cards...hey, does anyone have the one with the gloved hand or the bandaged arm or the something something patch? 😬

I received bedrof's View From the Hill... yesterday. Great image! It was postmarked either January 2 or February 1 depending on the dating practice in Russia. I was surprised to see it postmarked from Russia so I guessed that regular mail service between the two countries have returned.

Then a double suprise arrived in todays mail with Rob Skeoch's Rodeo Cowboys. Another great image and I like the paper!

In case you're interested, since I use their films and papers, Ilford Photo featured my portraits of Rodeo Cowboys on the company blog a few weeks back. This like will take you to the Ilford site.

Glad to hear that, thanks.
I always send from my Russian address and it usually works fine this way (I dropped those cards in the mail office in the end of January I think and it took almost 2 months to reach you), but cards from the US started to come through directly not long ago, in the end of 2023.

add me to the list of Rob's recipients - expertly printed young cowboy, confident, smiling with braces on his teeth and a wedding ring on his hand, looking straight into the camera! Wonderful details, large belt buckle, patches and logo's, decorative neckerchief around his neck! well, well done!

Hi! This was wonderful! @drpsilver play of light, lines, relief, super!; @mshchem msitika))) I live near a forest and like to watch the stumps; @Michael Howard awesome, thanks to you I found out about Ghost Town of Rhyolite; @Todd Barlow I can say the same thing, I read Wikipedia to get acquainted with Niagara Escarpment; @jvo super! She is beautiful, I love her)) @mfohl is especially grateful for Holga and the spirit of the times; @AnselMortensen wonderful Eryngium!; @MattiS a steam locomotive is a separate topic altogether. The steam locomotive is what excites me. This is engineering and precision work of a mechanic. The winter before last, during a complete blackout, steam locomotives were reactivated en masse. I can say, firstly, it’s beautiful, and secondly, unlike AI or crypto, it’s damn reliable!))) Thank you all! I will definitely take part in one of the next exchanges

I finally have some time to comment of the cards I have received. "Rodeo Cowboys" from Rob Skeoch is another in his very interesting series of rodeo photographs. A very nice portrait with lost of detail and good tones. This cowboy is "ready for action".

Regards,
Darwin

I have a few from #pcx60 that I have not acknowledged yet thinking they were from the 61, as I have been a bit away, so here goes.

@Dunga 's "silhouette on green is a nice color print of what looks like the rehearsal.. I remember a previous card from a theatrical company, I misplaced the notes accompanying this one, but I like the colors and the suggestion of the action.

@bedrof shared "Sands of Archeda". The 50km run in a desert seems a hell of a undertaking, but glad you had it in you to hike enough for this picture of dune's grasses afterwards. That's similar to the seaside dunes around these parts

"Lake Virginia" from @Tom Taylor is a precious landscape from a days long hike. The place seems incredible and I would definitely like to see more of the area

The Cowboys serie of @Rob Skeoch grows on another perfectly executed portrait. A young happy-looking lad this time. As before, a very nice project in its own rights.

PCX#60 gems received as of April 5, 2024:

Mar 25 - Mtoma - What the right hand gives, the left hand takes - Great photograph and back story! I wish you a quick return to your functioning darkroom space!
Mar 25 - Rob Skeoch - Rodeo Cowboys - Love the subject and the detail! Great series.
Jan 16 - RCPhoto - Casualty - Well seen! I Like the square format and the way the image pops off the gloss paper. Inspiring me to try some square format submissions.
Jan 9 - MattiS - Chasing Trains - Great shot, I especially like the group riding in the car behind the engine all staring at the photographer.
Dec 8 - Tom Taylor - Lake Virginia - Endurance...carrying a F3 and some kit on a multiday multi thousand foot elevation gain backpacking trip! Nice reward! Great capture of a beautiful vista!
Dec 6 - Jim Christie - Forgotten Things - Beautiful! Combines some of my favorite things, doors, peeling paint and lines! Nicely done!
Dec 5 - SJC1952 - Four Young Men - I have always admired street photographers and street photography - something I have never really done. Nicely seen and executed, loaded with detail!
Nov 30 - koraks - Ganoderma - Had a mishap with the image detaching from the cardstock in the post...
Nov 23 - bedrof - A winding road - Well seen with classical composition elements. Beautiful layering from foreground to the distant background!
Nov 22 - Ansel Mortensen - Scotts Valley - Lovely bokeh and composition, I walk by fields of these everyday and have thought to photograph, motivation arrived in the post!
Nov 15 - KitosLAB - Mill and Wooden Temple - I used to pass a Boykos style Ukrainian Church in Brampton Ontario, just beautiful! Never stopped to photograph. Motivation to photograph is returning! Added double exposure, nicely done!
Nov 10 - mshchem - Man in Tree - My wife and I are debating where the man is, I actually see a large cat climbing the tree, never the less well seen and executed!
Nov 8 - Daniela - An Overthinkers Dream - Great title for this shot full of "Easter Egg" questions... what does the lawn sign say and what is the black image to the left. Well seen!
Nov 7 - KRNOW - Gunnera Leaf - Beautiful and inspirational to try!
Nov 6 - DRPSILVER - Tiger Beetle Tracks - I love black and white - tone and texture and the abstract, nicely done!
Nov 3 - Tel - Lunch - This is my second PCX and like the first I find motivation from images of others. Opportunities for shots are everywhere, why am I not taking my camera everywhere, thanks!
Nov 3 - JVO - hah-rumphf - Great shot! Especially the slight head tilt that adds to the whole dismissiveness!
Nov 3 - Michael Howard - Ghost Last Supper - The contrast difference between the figures and the hill side really grows on me every time I return to the photo, nicely done.
Oct 27 - mfohl - Why so serious? - Well seen! - why are the wipers up, why is the oil filter gasket on the ground, why is only the passenger side sun shade down, why....
Oct 25 - negativefunk - I was going elsewhere - Beautiful image with the fog!
Oct 20 - Don Heisz - Bean leaf - Love the detail of the photo but also the story on how it was made.

Yes, the Rob Skeoch cowboy arrived. It is definitely a keeper. Great portrait, and on fiber paper too. This one has no postal damage. Thanks Rob.
