Hello Nicole,

Your postcard arrived this morning 25th April. Very nice, and I like the way you hid away - almost.

Regards Daniel

Mine arrived today as well. Many thanks Nicole. Excellent! Wonderful tonality as well. I'm sorry I never got to try the Agfa paper.

Cheers

I got Victors yesterday. That's a ton of work for a post card x 30! I love it though. Thanks Victor.

Victor's cyanotype arrived here in the UK today. Excellent, I love it.

Many thanks Victor for all the hard work that must have gone into producing that work of art for us all.

Cheers

Just got Todd's today and courtesy of the USPS it had a little tear. Luckily it was in the border, though. Nice image!

I'm glad it made it. I always feel weird putting these in the mail. Will it make it? At least one made it to California. Maybe I'll wait a few more days to post it in the gallery with the info on what, where, when, how, etc.

I got Todd and Nicoles this week.

Todd, I may be down in your neck of the woods in June or July. I'll let you know and mabye we can go shoot together.

Great shot Nicole, I can see you hidding in the shadows.

Thanks, guys. It was taken up in Abiquiu, which is somewhat famous because it's where Georgia O'Keefe lived after Stieglitz died. Derek, get ahold of me when you're around and maybe we can go up there.

Nice one, Todd. I still have to get mine out. Classes end this week, so things should be settling down soon.

Just so everyone knows, I plan to bring the Round 6 shots that I've received to my booth at the conference for all to see.

Rob, thanks to you, I will now be able to say, "I've been exhibited at an international photographic conference".

This APUG is pretty good!

Hey, is there going to be another round of this during the summer? I'd like to get in. What're the basic rules?

Regards.

A reminder that we have a gallery for showing the postcards that we have sent to the wider membership of APUG. Only about six posted from this round, although I appreciate that you cannot all scan, a few more of the 27 sent would be appreciated.

Thanks to Victor, I now know what a cyanotype looks like. Many thanks for the effort. This man deserves a medal.

Hello All,

Thank you Victor for your cynotype; this is the first one I've seen in the flesh and I think it is great. The nearest I've ever got to this is when I was at school we had to make a real 'blueprint' for engineering drawing class ( 1960s ).

Doesn't compare with yours though. Thanks for the hard work you put in.

Thanks also to Todd for your image which arrived yesterday also. I found the abstract quality really interesting; it would make a fine painting.

Regards Daniel

Thanks all for all of the fine work I've been receiving. It really makes sorting through the mountains of bills and catalogs so much more enjoyable.
I truly enjoyed making my cards and couldn't imagine a better kick-off project for my new UV unit. I had a chance to learn much about cyanotypy, coating methods, applicability of various papers & teas used for toning, global post size limits, stamp prices, etc. That being said, I made approx. 50 to get 35 I wasn't ashamed of. Sorry if quality varied a bit but all looked pretty nice in at least one type of lighting condition, I assure you.
cheers
Victor
PS-my computer is a mess & caused us to mistakenly throw out our SCANNER before we realized the issue wasn't it. If someone wanted to scan my card & add it to the gallery it would be greatly appreciated .

I have been silent until it's near time to burst. What a bunch of truly excellent work. I'm afraid if I singled any out someone elses feelings might be hurt if theirs was seemingly ignored, so simply said nothing. The cards this round were a delight! Thank you one and all.
