Two more postcards arrived, so nice to still get them.

@rst - Total Distancing - Great contact print - fun project! Nice one Rüdiger. Hope that was wine?
@Black Dog - Bubbles oh so many bubbles!! What a great capture of pre-covid times..! Excellent.

I also received hkbenji's beautiful trees and roots cyanotype. Perfect subject for the technique, and very well executed. A DIY light box is on my list. Thanks!

My postcards for this round finally went out a couple of days ago. In a couple of cases, they had company in an envelope - I sent my Round 53 cards at the same time.

I received BlackDog's "What Passing - Bells", a color photo of a lovely statue in a lovely garden in Edinburgh. Thanks Jake! Not many of the cards I receive are color shots.

Matt King's Troll Search came today in an envelope (along with the PCX 53 card). A nice under-bridge shot. Really effective high contrast. It's shot with Neopan 1600, and Matt says there's grain, but I can't see it in this small print. Nice shadow detail, nice print.

The card from MattKing is a very interesting perspective of a bridge. There are all sorts of stories that one could attach to the image. This photo is interesting when viewed upside down. The photo moves from reality to abstract. It also reminds me of a similar photo I made when in Mexico in the early 2000's. Nice range of tones keeping detail in both shadow and highlights. Well done.

Regards,
Darwin

Something prevented me from commenting on the cards I received during this round till this moment, so here we go.
ProfessorC1983 - Danger - The biggest card I've ever got with an interesting composition and fine tones. I really love the typewritten backstory and the stamps, especially the piece of three combined in a panoramic picture. Thank you, Clinton!
Howard Earl - Oil storage tank card - Tmax 400 really shines in large format. Nice contrast and the subject.
BSP - Statue card - Interesting composition whith the short focal length put to good use.
mooseontheloose - View over Akre, Kale Mountain - That is a very exotic place to go, I must say. I wonder how many tourist visited Iraq and that particular part of the country during the last 10 years. And an interesting use of an infrared film. The background landscape looks just perfect for the film used. And the figure of the guide balances the image nicely.
Michael Teresko - Near Sutter Buttes card - The sharpness is something exceptional here. I guess it's that famous feature of Fuji lens. High contrast works well conveying the feeling of a hot day.
Black Dog - A street moment, Edinburgh - One and the only color card of the round. I agree with you that wandering around with no particular idea for shooting may result in something new.

Thank you guys for a great round!

Thanks @mfohl for your kind comment.

I received @MattKing 's Troll Search. Right up my alley - loving the lines, the contrast and the deeep shadows. Great stuff! Many thanks.

I have just received a lovely cyanotype from 'Ben' in Hong Kong, but he gives no user name on here... So thanks very much Ben, it's a great addition to my collection and the first cyanotype that I have received.

Just checking the post mark, it took a while to arrive, with it being posted on 29 April 2021 - but it got here finally!

Many thanks,

Terry S

I received cramej's nice Aspen Trunk. A sidelit tree in Colorado. There is much to be said for 2 1/4 contact prints. Thanks John!

I have also received @cramej lovely Aspen Trunk. Super nice - many thanks! I feel all that black space around the contact makes the tree pop out even more.

Hello my friends,

my cards were dropped in the mail today, I hope they reach you soon!

I'll have to find a different formula, since they increased the rates again, the stamps is not way over the price of the paper (I could have bought two boxes of paper for the price they charged me for 22 cards... this is insane)

All the best,

I have also just received @Laurent's card, in perfect condition. Shallow depth of field used to good effect in a lovely print of what looks to me like two pine seedlings. Many thanks!
