Got Art's, beautiful transfer!, and lovely b/w prints from Paul, David G. and Randy. Thanks for the art, y'all, it sure is nice to open up the mailbox and see something hand-printed, hand-written and analog in there!
Happy holidays,
Imke

I wish you guys ( and ladies) had a gallery to post your postcards in . I'd love to see even a pale, digital representation of what is being exchanged.

Also, I like the postcard concept but I am a bit reticent. I have been tempted to participate but I don't want to stink the place up too bad. Maybe seeing what is going around might inspire me to produce something that is of suficient quality to join in a future round
Here are mine:

I am certain you would stink up nothing and I strongly encourage you to participate. It is just a wonderful exchange, it is great getting so many lovely photos. You should see our fridge!

I forgot to mention that I also got GR82BART's transfer card. Wonderful work Art, and nice words too. My wife has grabbed it and hung it up with the Christmas cards

I got 2 today... the magic Ilfochrome by Doug, and the exquisite forn study in BWbyKate. Nice work guys!

Maybe I should send a photo of my postcard exchange 4 and 5 gallery (also known as the refrigerator). The postcards are starting to encroach on the handle, one of the vegetable bins is filled with film, and the Ilfochrome paper has invaded the bottom shelf...

Why not when it gets full put them into a nice old fashioned photo album with those funky corner things to hold them in place. That way you can always take them out and read the back again.

Just slap a few stamps on the fridge and send the whole thing

P.S. Toss a couple of Six Packs in it first.

Today I received Dave Miller's gorgeous toned postcard, Art Liem's amazing polaroid transfer, and Paul Sorensen's beautiful B&W contact print of a winter cemetary scene. Thanks muchly! All the postcards I've received so far are great and so diverse in presentation. Well done! What has surprised me the most was how unmarred they have been when I find them in my mailbox.

Neil,

I've seen some of your images in the gallery and you're crazy to think that you'd stink up anything! I for one would feel very lucky to receive one of your postcards. Are you up for the next round when it comes around?

OK! doing the happy dance here. I have been agonizing about the lack of speed my neighbor has when it comes to the promised build out of my pusedo bathroom/darkroom. WELL a good friend/photographer of mine up at Zion National park got me hooked up with the last remaining commercial lab (didn't know they had one) in St. George Utah. They are going to kindly let me have a chunk of time before the end of the month. YAHOOOOOO I can get at least 2 rounds (this one and the next one) printed if they give me 3 hours. Now I don't have to get depressed everytime I see this thread pop up.

My cards WILL get to you! You're doomed

Also looking forward to it Aggie.
Five cards have made their way to Australia, but I have not yet made my way to the darkroom. I'll hopefully process a roll of early morning shots from St Leonards this afternoon and then get some printed up.

Received Nige and Imke's postcards. Very nice! Love the subject matter, Nige!

That's 10 for me so far.

I got the coolest postcard from toddstew yesterday! Wow!! That is great, Todd!

Thanks Jeanette! I'm not sure if cot 320 is sturdy enough to make it to all of the destinations intact, but my fingers are crossed!
Thanks again

Todd - Made it to Seattle in great shape. VERY NICE! cot 320 is some nice paper. I have been using Platine for alt process. Can you tell me what made you choose cot 320?

Thanks!

Hi Todd,

Your card arrived today here in the UK in near perfect condition. What a great image! This round has been absolutely fantastic.

Mine are printed, I'll label them up tonight and hopefully get them out before Christmas. Not sure if I can compete with you guys though!

Cheers

Mike

Thanks Doug,
Well, I was introduced to palladium printing by Melody Bostick when I did some yard work for her in exchange for a starter kit and the 320 was one of the samples she gave me to try out. I really like the surface quality of this paper as well as the color that makes the bright whites a bit more sandy colored.
Glad the print made it to you!
Todd

Received Jim Galli's lovely postcard and it was the bit worse for wear. It looks and feels like FB. Beautiful landscape! It came kind of warped so I'll use a drymount press to flatten it a bit more.
