Feedback is important, even if just to let us know you've sent or received a card it keeps the list active. Please check that your information is correct. Let me know as soon as possible of any corrections. Note: there is an updated address for Sean, he has almost enough cards to cover his wall, so if you have a spare help him out.

well, this is not exactly a feedback, but my sister (who is a teacher in elementary school) has started a "challenge" with her class, and tshe would like to get as much postcards as possible for the kids before March 1st.

Of course, I'll send some cards, but if you had some spare cards (and stamps) I'm sure they'd be very happy.

This is uncharacteristic of me, but I am still in the process of selecting a negative of this round. There have been several major house problems, and some personal ones also. Once these "settle down" I may have some time, and mental bandwidth, to get back into the darkroom. Rest assured they will get mailed, hopefully before the end of March.

I wish to report too, that two thirds of my cards were printed during a long session last Friday. Treated them with selenium yesterday.

Good to hear that the first one has been received and enjoyed! Thanks Bedrof.

Looking through my prints sent out for exchanges yesterday, I noticed that I've been printing progressively darker prints each round. Not sure what that could say about me, but I hope all the recipients of the cards 1. receive them and 2. like them.

After a long day of work yesterday I was very happy to come home and find 3 postcards in my mailbox. Darwins’ “Peasant Girl”, a wonderful outdoor still life. Laurents’ beautiful many layered table flower and Pauls’ (g’day Paul) Rest Room Blues, a wonder slice of older life.

awty - "Restroom Blues" - a wonderful juxtaposition with fascinating light - printed well as well; and
Laurent - "George's" (title supplied by me) - an intriguing scene from Normandy, well composed and also well printed.

since i like sending postcards, (not just pcx cards), i've suspected they might get lost enroute, so i appreciate the comments and feedback to understand which ones haven't gone astray...

they each have the "signature" white scratch/dot made by the mailing machines moving them through...

laurent, i'll look for that PM and send the card along.

My cards are on their way - the cards heading to Canada are in the hands of Canada Post, while the cards heading to US or international destinations are in the hands of the US postal service.
This card is titled "Insulated".
The note on the back refers the recipients to this thread, because there isn't enough room there to tell the story about the paper surface and the toning. So here is the story!
While I was preparing prints for this exchange I was also preparing for a workshop demonstration on toning for my Darkroom Group. So, in the interests of efficiencies, I decided to combine the two.
First, I printed the image on two different surfaces - glossy and pearl - of the Ilford MGIV RC paper I use for this exchange and a lot of other prints. And I did extra prints.
Next, I set up the toning demonstration.
Some of the prints were toned in Selenium alone.
Some of the prints were split toned - partial bleach, sepia to completion, selenium to completion.
Some of the prints were toned in Berg copper/brown toner, and the times in the Berg toner were varied between prints.
And for a few prints that didn't get dealt with at the demonstration, I finished them off at home in the Berg toner.
So when the recipients get their cards, they might be on one of two surfaces, and might exhibit the characteristics of several combinations of toners.

Today's mail included drpsilver's beautiful "Peasant Girl". I really like how you have combined the subject, the light and the way this lens (the 80mm lens for the Mamiya TLRs) renders images. The result is striking!

Haha I live in Cumbria...I sent out about half of mine earlier in the week and I've received my first ones, including Laurent's street scene. I love this kind of subject matter which rewards you the more you keep looking and reminds me of the work of Robert Adams (who is also a superb writer on photography).

Thanks for the comments and letting me know of the arrival of card 02 of 06.

I get the feeling that a lot of people don't bother to comment on receipts, as no where near as many sent out by the group in total get a mention in these threads. Shame for the senders really.

Received one of them yesterday.
Card doesn't bear a title on it. Delightful print. Especially I like flowers' details. My wife highly regarded it.

These two cards from the UK and France received so far during the Round 46 make an interesting pair. Great start, I must admit. Can't wait to see others'.
