Thanks for appreciating it-there are some other carvings from 1949.Black Dog, your postcard arrived this afternoon (Thursday). You've captured a lovely texture in the tree bark in addition to the interesting engraving, which makes me wonder just how old some of those other markings might be. Thanks!
Hello, I don't currently have a web page, though I did used to have some work on the site of a group called IPSE.Black Dog. I may have mentioned this before, but I have just tried looking at your web-page using the link in your info bit on here, and it takes me nowhere....
Any chance of updating it = if you still have a web-page of course.

Thanks-I love the winter landscape;it was about -30 C that day with the wind chill!I've got Black Dog's "Shades of winter", like a first taste of the cold season. Very simple but effective landscape, thanks !
Ah, that's technical stuff (widgetery?) from when I was printing themI too have received Black Dog's "Shades of Winter #1".
Brrr!
Great Card.
I also always like trying to discern the meaning of the ghostly pencil notations on the back of Jake's cards. I'm rarely successful.
My cards are in the hands of, respectively, the Canadian and United States postal authorities (depending on destination).
The title this time is "Overlooked". Hope you like them.
IIRC I sent you the snowscape (Shades of Winter 1).My cards were mailed yesterday. Have received cards from Jake and Matt so far, both excellent prints and interesting subjects.
Thanks-that was exactly what I was looking for .The separation between the different elements should be even better in a larger print.17 Nov 2018
I have received two cards thus far during this round. The card from MattKing ("Overlooked") is nicely composed. I like the slight brown tone, it softens the image. The card from Black Dog ("Scout Scar #1") is interesting in several ways. The image has very little "high values", the wood and rocks morph, and there is a lot for the viewer to explore.
My cards are in the mail, and I look forward to seeing more postcards. I hope you like the image I selected for this round.
Regards,
Darwin
