Sandra, that is what happens to me all the time. And I think it is pretty common amongst postcarders. At least for this round I think I already found *my* negative. No pinhole this time - promised.

Everything is OK as long as the initial media is a traditional one. So no digital capture.

I know...but I'd like the output to be as analog as possible, so still trying to suss out some places that can do it for me. Still have a couple of weeks to go, so hopefully something will work out.

Now that I'm printing RA-4 I even have to think about color... decisions, decisions... I've cut down a pile of Ektacolor Supra that I could use. I thought it might be too thin but Rob's Fuji CA print came through the mail great so I might copy him and do a color one, we'll see.

If you print your information on moderately large Avery style adhesive labels, the labels themselves add a lot of structural integrity to the cards.

That's a good point! Rob's label was so big I couldn't tell which Fuji CA paper he'd used as there was very little 'blank' space on the back. Thanks for that idea.

That said, I still might shoot B&W on 10x15cm Ilford Postcard Pearl (Portfolio) or 5x7" MGFB or MGWTFB... color/B&W, which negative, from what camera, on what paper, too many possibilities!

I've had to go this route on several exchanges due to a lack of a darkroom. And for the last round, I ended up printing the card myself as not one lab could give me a decent B&W print without a magenta/green/red etc cast.

I too prefer printing my B&W the traditional way - the colour though gets sent to a lab - and these days, finding a lab here in BKK that *can't* make a decent colour print is almost impossible!
