I am still mailing postcards, I've run into issues with time because of school and work. But I haven't forgotten. So I'm really really sorry for the delay, but my postcards will get in the mail before the end of March

Three more cards arrived today.
A beautiful image of Pantheon in Rome fromJon KingYou have a great lens.Mat paper really bring's image out.
"Leaf in the snow" from BDial Very nice composition.
"Today I shot a deer" by erikg Very nice image little heavy on the left but the tonality is gorgeous.

Katherine, if you go to page 13 of this thread, you will find my explanation of the shoot.

This pretty much sums up how some of my better work with people, happens.

Firstly, with house guests you usually don't have too much time as their stay is shortish and they will be flitting around as tourists usually do. We nearly always do one quick session then I contact the film.

Sometimes when doing the contacts the guests hang around the darkroom. Actually almost all of the guests in the last 5 or so years have hung around the darkroom as they are very interested in how it happens.

Then one or two 8x10's are done and in a few days when the timing and weather are right, we have another go.

Usually the second and subsequent sessions produce good to very good work. The guests are excited and we (my wife & I) get them thinking of different scenes or looks, that is all there is to it.

School Courtyard by FM2N-subtly lit branches and wisps of cloud fill the frame,contrasting nicely with the old buildings in the background.Nice tones from the EFKE film too [been getting good results from the 25 and 100 myself]

Lake Jolster by Mikeg-another moody companion to your last card with a lone tree silhoutted against a stormy sky.

Brompton Cemetery by Tim-another superbly moody image ;somehow feels very timeless.

Rip by Kingjon-Rip looks very relaxed and not at all vicious....you've caught his character very well.

Tattoo Shop Window by Robin Dreyer-love these Friedlanderesque details [have a look at his Letters From The People some time].

Ayutiaha by Ozphoto-feels like a forgotten snap from a 19th century archaelogical expedition....think that the light leaks actually enhance the mood of the image.

My parents love the postcards they have been getting. They're amazed so many people are so dedicated to traditional film. As for me, I'll make and send mine out this weekend.

It's another very enjoyable round! Thrre more cards were in the post today.

Tim Walls' Divine light has an evocative mood with the white cloud balancing the silhouetted dome & cross.
Ruediger's window frame is light and airy - quite a different mood and also enjoyable.
Mikeg's Norwegian lake has a very wet air (those low clouds are a dead give-away) and I like the way it's printed.

There seem to be more people taking the trouble to write personal messages this round. It is much apreciated!

Divine Light by Tim Walls, very nice sky indeed.
Ruedigers window, so simple, yet so intriguing. I like it a lot! And, adding to earlier comments, so does my girlfriend. She even guessed correctly that it was shot in Germany. Must be the type of curtains ...
Mikeg, without reading the back, my first thought was Norway. Absolutely lovely shot.

Finally I finished mailing ALL my cards. I had some that I hadn't sent before I went on holiday but now they are all done. Just have to buy a couple stamps for the ones I'm sending to Kraker! Then they will be on their way.

Thanks for the kind words. I send my cards to myself since I joined the postcard exchange. Since I also collect my card with the other cards of the round it just looks more authentic.

Authentic, that's the exact word I was looking for. I never sent my own card to myself until this round. It always looked to "clean". Simple solution: let the mailman handle it, and it will look (quote)more autentic(unquote)

I managed to get my cards printed yesterday, so they'll go out in the next day or two. First time printing in a real darkroom too - it was so much more enjoyable then my makeshift one in the bathroom.

I did this the last two rounds. For the last round, the post office lost my card, addressed to myself :confused:.

Got another two cards, Tim's cemetery shot. I love the sky in this one, and I got Mikeg's lake shot. I love the dark tree on an almost white background.

I'm almost done addressing my cards, and they will go out in the next day or two.

Received qiute a few lovely cards when I came back from holiday. Thanks to PVia for your beautiful bamboo garden image. I loved all the lushness in California when I was there! Very cool infrared image mooseontheloose of a ruined chateau and vineyards. What an ethereal place. I enjoyed your shot of a fake deer, erikg. I also really like surreal images and this was great! Tim Walls, your mysterious image taken in a cemetary was soooo spooky and I love the light in the right hand side of the frame. I think the pinhole blender image was awesome byIan-Stan160 and very unique. As a matter of fact everybody had such unique cards this round. The tattoo shop window byRobin Dreyer was also very interesting and very well printed. I'm a sucker for infrared and of course I loved Doug Smith's postcard of a park in New York! Winter is one of my favourite times to use infrared film too! LastlyJon King's almost painterly image of the Pantheon in Rome is lovely. I think the paper you used was a great choice. Thanks for your kind comment about my Round#12 postcard. Much appreciated.

Ok, my cards went out this morning. Postage is expensive

I still have yet to see any of the cards since they were delivered to my mom's house. I had graduated, moved, and started a new job over the last two months, so things have been hectic. Looking forward to seeing a big batch of cards

Slowly but steady cards are coming in. They are much better quality then previous rounds I think we are all learning something new. I really enjoyed this three cards I received today.
1." Lake Jolster" from mikeg Wonderful composition with just enough contrast to make it interesting.
2.rst Thanks Ruediger for your comments on my print, is that Kee Heiland you mentioned on your card I have not seen anything from Her?
Your print ,what a nice combination , centre of interest and contrast. Good paper and developer combination.
3. Breda door fromkraker Great lens and what film did you use? Well exposed. Striking contrast. Thanks on your comments for my print exchange contribution. Much appreciated to all. What a round. Next one is going to be even better.
