Hello everyone, I'm new here. This is in fact my first post. What better way to get to know the community then a postcard exchange? If there's room, count me in for up to 50.

Thanks,
Nick...

Hi all,

now that the registration gets near the end, I want to provide some info about how the distribution into "groups" is going to work in this round so that everyone knows before.

The little program I wrote tries to be as fair as possible so e.g. you should receive a card from every participant you send a card to, which means that you should receive as many cards as you send. I use "should" instead of "will" because the program can not yet compensate for cards being lost on their way or participants just not sending cards, but I am working hard on this

The last info I have and with the last two registrations we are 45 people. This results in people who applied for the maximum number of cards will having to send either 37 or 38 cards - I do not allow sending half cards  Everyone who applied for less than 37 cards will have to send the number she/he applied for. I do not want to go into the very details, if someone is interested, send a PM.

So these numbers may change a bit, if there will be more join-ins until the end of the month.

I hope that everyone feels OK with my try to make everyone feel OK.

ciao

In for 24

OK, I finally finished printing and packaging my print for the Blind Print Exchange #6 - so I'm ready to sign up for the next postcard exchange.

24 is my limit - as it is the last postcard exchange killed my Beseler roller.

Same info as in Round 9, but I'll send a pm anyways.

I'm going to have a break this round, but I must say that the last round was the most enjoyable of the nine rounds so far. More than likely I will be back next round, but in the meantime I have lots of baby photos to catch up on. Enjoy Round 10 everybody.

Everyone,

I just got back from an unexpected trip and am trying to get caught up, so the lists should go out tomorrow to everyone that I have an email address for. I'll PM those whos email address I don't yet have (about 5 people if I remember correctly).

Thanks!

How many are there now?

The final count looks to be a whopping 46! For those who chose to print an unlimited number, the count will be somewhat less than that though, due to the number of people who chose to print less than unlimited. The last time I checked the numbers, it looked like those printing unlimited would be in the mid thirties, so I would expect something like ~37 if you chose to print unlimited - I'll be able to tell for certain tomorrow when the list is ready to send out.

Since Randy did all the collection of data and putting it all together into a file to send it through my little program I decided to let the program take some more work over from him. So, I changed the little program a bit and now it was able to automatically send out the groups data via email to each of the participants who gave us their email address. So those should have an email with the addresses in their inbox now.

All other participants will get a PM from Randy with the data they need.

There was one person with an email system that only allows for known senders, this guy will also receive the data via PM.

The very final count is 50 people. The people with no limit will have to send either 41 or 42 cards.

I am looking forward to this round, my cards are printed, now starts the labeling.

Was it normal to get two emails one from you Ruediger and one from Randy? I got one from both of you. I will look over the list and make sure it's the same.

I may be interested in joining in with round eleven or twelve. Just one question. Do we print the same image on all of the cards?

Ups, then it seems that I ran my program too late. Sorry for that, the lists should be the same then.

That is up to you. I think there are people printing sending the same card to all the members of the group (that is what I do) and there are people sending different cards.
