Philippe, fantastic. Misty woods - reminds me of the New England states.

Here is an example of southern hardwood bottomlands, Floweree Road, Redwood, Mississippi, USA. This is a 4x5" frame.

MAGNIFICENT PHOTO!
What a country Australia is, you have forests as large as our country (Belgium).
The forest I took that picture in, as you could see in my previous post, is hardly a handkerchief large, it takes only 3/4h to cross it by foot...

PS; caption error: it's not the Heidebos, but the Brakelbos, as small as they are I managed to mix up the two...

Wow. I could get lost in that for hours.

Returning from a BPA (now 'Biocom.org) meeting in Oregon , I decided to try a 'shortcut' through a forested area. To my 'right' nearly all the trees had been harvested and I decided it was time to 'take a break' and finish the last of the coffee in my "Thermos flask'. I will swear (to this day)that I 'heard' in my mind "make a photograph of me".. so I climbed out with my Linhof 4x5 and trusty old tripod.. chose a 'spot' to set up for a "low' image just before the sun was 'hitting' the horizon and made this one exposure onto the last sheet of FP4 film in my film holder and exposure was by indicated with my 'incident' light meter reading toward the 'light source' (but was not 'recorded' to my notebook) Film plane was 'vertical' behind the lens (using front tilt for DOF control) and the film 'tray' developed in D76 as 'normal'.

Almost too beautiful to be exist!

Thank you all for your kind comments on the Flooded Forest photograph. It was worth slapping mosquitoes for the entire 15 minute exposure.

How about a wet woodland scene? This is a cypress swamp just north of Yazoo City, Mississippi. Kodak Panatomic-X film dev. in Xtol, Rolleiflex 3.5E Xenotar lens.

I made this back in June, in an area that was burned a few months before.

"Dead Tree at Fell Lake"

Image is a bit grainy because I was using my LG Rebel smart phone. Also, something I've been testing. using a 3d printer, I made a small mirror mount that attaches to my smart phone and if successful. I'll redesign the gig to fit my Cokin adapter. However, anyone can do this while holding a mirror or even your smart phone while taking the picture. The reason for the gig, was that the sky was so blue on that day, but the water below was nasty with plastic bottle and trash. (Will Post the Blue Version Upon Request)
