These are not great technical images, but were taken on a college trip to Europe in January 1982 with a Yashica MG-1 with Kodachrome 64. It was a cloudy overcast day, and the Yashica automatic exposure didn;t do a good job in these conditions.
I have more recent digital images from 2009 which are higher technical quality, but I felt the age of these photographs more appropriate : although 37 years is just a blip in the history of this building.
Thanks for reply. I live in hopes that the new Adox paper to replace Forte Polywarmtone might achieve this look. If I could get this look with a darkroom print I might be tempted to "convert" to WT paper and hang the expensePentaxuser, actually I cheated and the tone is a Photoshop creation. I found the original unpleasing so I warmed up the tone using Adobe Camera Raw. I grew up with large Etchings of Rouen and Bristol Cathedrals in our house done by a great uncle. I wanted to try to replicate the tonal effect of those works from the early twentieth century.
I once could get a similar tone, though not as intense, from Agfa Portriga developed in GAF Ardol developer. Sadly both are long gone. Thanks for reply. Unfortunately I doubt that sepia could be this subtle without risking a hint of yellow in it
