Really nice @GregY . What did you shoot that with?

I have one taken down from Mt. Pilatus that has kind of the same tonal vibe, but without the benefit of any buildings.
Thank you CR,
Leica CL /40mm Heliar. I had just left Chamonix and couriered my friend's Pentax 645 back to him. I was doing a hut to hut trip....w just the Leica & one lens.

It's a beautiful shot.

You almost make me wish I'd never sold my 690 ... almost. I could never reconcile myself to its clumsy film advance and unreliable frame spacing. I guess I wasn't born to use double stroke cameras.

Thank you CR. I find the 690 and especially the 680 lll ideal for mountain landscapes....situations/ places where a viewcamera is just too inconvenient. As you know, the lenses are first class and big prints just shine

I do indeed and I so wanted to like my almost new GW690 II for exactly that reason. But mine, at least, was so mechanically wonky that I just couldn't trust it.

I don't think it was defective, in fact I CameraWiz check it out (he works on a lot of these, or has in the past). I think the design just inherently tends towards variable inter-frame spacing. I'd be interested in your experience in this regard.

I do still have a very nice 6x9 system: A "Baby" Speed Graphic including, among others, a 101mm f/4.5 Ektar that is an absolute razor of a lens.

Speed graphics are very cool, they're just not quite handy enough for skiing or climbing terrain.
the Pentax 67, didn't make the cut either.....although i used one for a while
