I'm having problems complimenting people here as there have been so many photos that qualify for "Man, I wish I'd taken that" level of good. GLS, Mark, really awesome shots. GLS, I love how you see trees, but the one you posted yesterday is my favorite so far. JTP, even the Holga shot is great composition! It makes me cold looking at it.

Jon is giving us a master class in how to shoot waterfalls.

I'm pretty bored with what I'm shooting. I think I need to change things up. I'm going to have to try and get something worth sharing soon.

did someone say waterfall?

This is from my most recent scanned rolls, from 2 weekends ago. Greeter Falls, Savage Gulf. TN. Kentmere 400, nikon n90s back, nikkor 20/2.8, d76 1:1, kodak pakon scanned.

Yeah: Waterfall. From the other side of the mountain:

Love your side of the mtn as well. Used to do a lot of backpacking in and around there.

Same falls as I posted above but from winter 5 years ago. TMX, Canon 7ne and either the 17-40L or 24-105L. Greeter Falls, mostly frozen.

1992 Great Sand Dunes No 3 by Nokton48, on Flickr

I am sinking knee-deep into the sand. This is a glorious experience. I stayed in this spot quite a while just enjoying everything about this. 4x5 Sinar Norma 90mm f8 Norma Super Angulon HP5 d76 1:1. 8x10 fibre print Fortezo Dektol 1:2 Omega Dii Omegalite 180mm black Rodagon. BTW off in the distance are the beginnings of the Santa De Christo Mountains.

Starting to get back into digital, this was taken with my Ricoh GR3 last October. I really love this little camera so far, but going back and forth with my F-1, I have really noticed how much I wish I had a view finder. They make optical ones for the hotshoe but I'd hate for the pocketability to take such a hit.

Very nice, Jon—I managed to catch a goat-floater while hiking the Fiery Gizzard trail in your neck of the woods a few years back…I have to say that was the slickest substrate I’ve ever been on, definitely Abrams Creek, hog-on-ice territory. (To elaborate on the previous exchange, it is entirely possible to hike up the same hill more than once…)

The Fiery Gizzard IS a slick trail! I have spent a lot of time there, as a kid in the summers swimming and jumping off the falls to extensive photo work as an adult. I will have to post up some images from along the trail....beginning to end.

Suter Falls, frozen. Savage Gulf State Park, TN. TMX, canon 7ne, 24-105L, kodak pakon f135+ scan from about 5 years ago.
