I love your images! My question is why are you rating your film at w 1000 Asa?
Dear DonW,
First, thank you for this compliment.
I rate my films at 1000ASA and develop them as they were 1600ASA, just to 'open' the shadows a little...
I work with a 6x17cm panoramic camera and the lens, a Schneider-Kreuznach Super-Angulon 90mm, covers the long negative, 17cm long, best at F16, add to that a center filter (-2 stops).
And sometimes, forced by the lack of sufficient light, at F11 and without a center filter, still at 1000ASA!
As I don't like tripods at all (heavy, cumbersome, to static and ugly), I shoot handheld, so I need at least a shutter speed of minimum 1/125 sec with this camera and lens.
My ideal is F16, 1/125 sec + center filter (and sometimes a Yellow filter), Tri-X (if available) exposed at 1000ASA (incident light metering) and developed as a 1600ASA in X-Tol 1+1 for 15min at 20°C.
