I guess that’s a Monty Python reference… ain’t it?

My world view really took a hit when I heard the lyrics from the Weird Al Yankovic satirical song “White & Nerdy”.

“I memorized the Holy Grail really well
I can recite it right now have you ROTFLOL”

I had always thought it was cool to be able to quote Holy Grail. Good thing I still had my landscape photography and Star Trek interests. And, of course, the landscape photography groupies.

@Stephen Benskin and @Anon Ymous

You guys have really good taste for film and music.

I really need to listen to Weird Al’s “B sides”. And I have to watch Monty Python’s movies again, because I was too young when they ran them in the TV here in Brazil. My oldest brothers used to watch them, laugh like crazy motherf***ers and I didn’t understand a thing.

Chapel not far from home.
After the floods here, feel the mid-day sun.

I just finished a roll of provia.

I shall title this:The One Night All Week You Didn't Go Out With Your Camera

I have several spots nearby where the reflections would have been spectacular. Instead I get a shot from my porch. I guess this is why you go out even when the weather is crappy.

Hey, look on the bright side. You don’t get a view like that from your porch everyday, do you?

Landscape is the easiest & the same time mostly complicated genre. Photos of the exotic place always generate "WOW" reaction, unless You will see it for hundreds times. Here is the example:

But the real gem is local, well known place, usually we go through paying no extension. This is the most lovely pictures for me:

Agreed. Finding the beauty in the seemingly mundane is often the most satisfying.

This one has a Wes Anderson vibe to it.

The Pier shot from Maine, do you remember how long the exposure was? Weird, glassy water and a great sky. I like it.

I was in Maine for a little over a year. The entire time I had feels of isolation which may have influenced some or all of the work. Interestingly vibe wise, Stephen King lives in Bangor.

Bald trees were a fascination. Problem was on my ground glass, upside down and backwards, they looked abstract and surreal, but most of the time they looked just like trees on the proof.

The exposure for the pier was probably around a minute.

Thanks Stephen
