These antlers have been shed naturally and are not from hunting. The animals seem to prefer it that way.
I shot this in Nevada near Great Basin National Park in 2014. I talked to the owner of the property, his brother had a business making arches and such with antlers. He gathered them from the desert and mounted them to a steel frame. Canon AE-1 with Fujifilm X-tra 400.Yes....They are all sheds. Often youth groups do big sweeps and gather them & sell them off
And for those who might not know, elk grow and shed their antlers once a year.
