Probably after 1906. Wasn't there a lot of building damage even in Oakland in the '06 quake?
 
Good grief -- did you see the valuation on that page? How can anyone live in a city any more?
 
1897 , I was guessing 1910-1918 , I've been in Building & Trades my entire life ( 50 of my 70) and I would still volunteer to participate in
restoring a residence like that .
 
LA is way more affordable than Bay Area (plenty of friends moved down there due to COVID-19 letting them work remotely, they all have upgraded). LA's boring weather probably has something to do with the discount.

Yes, the Bay Area [read: San Francisco Bay Area] has been becoming more and more expensive for decades and is higher priced than the Los Angeles area, in general.

I love the perspective on this, knowing it was demolished. Everything already feels like it's falling over backwards.
