I believe Sirius Glass amended the theme of the thread to include details.
Hmm, am I reading correct that I should've provided details on film/camera used? What for? There are nearly countless instances of the same body and lens being sold and used today. Tool is irrelevant, data is just data. It's the human being in question, not the camera. Or am I strongly misreading/misunderstanding? :D

You're strongly misreading/misunderstanding. "include details" in this case means that taking photos of parts of objects (i.e. "details") is within the theme introduced by the thread starter.

Thanks for clearing this up
I'd agree - one of the tools of abstraction is a well-done closeup that makes you question what exactly it is you are seeing. IMHO.

The devil devil with pitch fork 0.png is in the details. The details helps others understand what the poster has done.

A 5x7 platinum/palladium print. It has been photographed behind glass, semi-close to real life, but more interested in the image here. It took me awhile to come to grips with this image and why I like it. I certainly thought it worthwhile perched on the edge like I was, with an incredible grand landscape around me in southern Chile. While not an abstract in the strict sense, to me it still has the hint of the qualities of one. Perhaps the lack (or almost a lack) of visual ground to stand on, the lack of information about where the water is coming from...and the abrupt visual plane ending in the upper left. Also the unusual coloration (pale glacial blue) of the water helps. The image/print echoes the movement and sounds of the place rather than a photograph of the fall itself. Comments welcomed.

Lots of fine images! A few are little more than literal illustrations, but that's not important.
