Looking around for a manufacturer’s spec sheet for an old film developer, I came across a webpage that has hundreds of MSDS sheets, dating back to the late-1980’s through early 2000’s, for a wide variety of products, most of which are not photography related (but kind of interesting nonetheless). I did find a sheet for long-gone Ethol Blue film developer, and Kodak HC-110, T-Max dev and D-76. There’s Ilford Universal Paper Developer, but as can happen it’s in alphabetical order as “Universal Paper Developer by Ilford”, and of course MSDS sheets on many of the raw chemicals we use when mixing home-brew developers.

All these and more can be found at the following website, which is held by the University of Wisconsin/Whitewater campus. Hope someone finds this useful: https://www.uww.edu/apps/riskmanagement/msds/

This will be worth a look. Thanks.

Bill Troop was grateful years ago when I wrote to him years ago to let him know that the Australian MSDS docs often had more detail than those in other countries, especially components in tiny quantities, or those not considered in any way dangerous. Presumably local regulations were more stringent.

Even today, there is variation. Some even say something like "trade secrets, non dangerous ingredients" which isn't helpful to us.
