A couple of years ago, I did a photo trip with my daughter to the Grand Canyon. She shoots 35mm, I shoot LF. - One of my habits is that I wear a wide brimmed hat when shooting, which I often use as a lens shade. I probably shot 100 sheets of film on that trip, and I have no idea how many rolls my daughter shot, but the one image from that trip which has been printed, framed and is hanging on the wall is a candid portrait that she did of me. The image is a picture with the grand canyon in the background, the silhouette of my LF camera on tripod at the edge, and a reflection of me in my hat in the ground glass. Not the most perfectly executed image, but one which immediately brings the entire glorious week back into focus for me whenever I see it. Your child has a vision which comes through the chosen medium strongly and clearly - it doesn't get any better than that!
