Hi all,

On my polaroid sx-70 (Alpha model), i would like to add some flash. I bought the Realfilmreel Flash adapter , but the images come out black with the flash.
As if not synching togheter?

An one knows what to do ?

Try a different flash.

AFAIK, if you put a cable or an old flash bar, the SX 70 chooses a fixed speed of ~1/40 and an aperture depending on the distance. So there should not be a sync problem. There are plenty of strobe flashes that work fine with the SX 70. Your adapter is said to work as well. So the flash might be the problem...

Thx
I don't know bout the flash has a problem. It flashes when i test flash with the flash test button.

I also tested with another flash (Canon 188A Speedlite)
But with same unsatisfying results . A black print.

So this seems to point towards a camera problem. Your adapter is connected and triggered by the camera as it fires the flash. A second flash does the same. I'm not an expert in SX 70 at all. So let's wait for someone more instructed. I only had a problem once with a flash adapter for a Sonar model, which was not compatible with the ordinary SX 70.
