OK, Polaroidistas, it doesn't get much better than this. A fully functioning SX-70 Sonar with the megapowered Polartronic Flash setup. The Polartronic was favored by O. Winston Link for its ability to illuminate a long line of train cars from a safe distance at night in an inkstorm. It is not so popular with macro shooters due to its unfortunate tendency to vaporize butterfly wings at close range.
Optics are clean and clear. Only squawk is that the latching mechanism has become lazy so it does not stay fully closed upon collapse. It folds all the way down just fine but then it springs back a touch.
100% of the price, including shipping, will go to a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit community radio station, WCUW broadcasting at 91.3 FM in Worcester, MA and streaming on the WWW at http://wcuw.org/.
Let's run this as a benefit auction. Here are the rules. We will leave the camera and flash rig up for sale until 11:59 PM tonight, November 24th, Eastern US time. If you are interested in it just post a response with your 'bid'. Opening bid is $1 just to keep it interesting. Minimum advance is $1. Bids must be time stamped by 11:59PM or earlier. Good luck! Just post if any questions. Actual shipping costs will be in addition to the hammer price, but you will pay only the actual shipping.
Remember, the bidding ends tonight. Thank you and enjoy!!
