I put the instax prints into an empty instax cartridge for scanning. I put a few AAA batteries on the springy opening on the back of the cartridge to apply a little bit of pressure to the print. They stay flat and the cartridge keeps them just a fraction of a mm off the platen so no Newton's rings. I kind of like the black border it adds too.
Seems to be a good solution for the V750 that I have myself because of its focus. But I hate it. I want to scan them with their frames. I often put notes on the frame with a pencil. I want these to be scanned. So for the Instax I no longer use the V750. It's either my Epson Ecotank printer/scanner or a Canon 9000F. Both have no problens with Newton rings. You just put the pictures on the glass and close the lid. Both recognize the frame automatically. So it's easy and quick scanning.
