It's like Kodak Ready load, Polaroid came up with the idea first for use in their 5x4 backs, I've not seen the Tungsten version but I used a lot of the daylight film, it's actually Fuji E6 film.

Is that why there's some cross compatibility btw Quickload, Readyload, and Polaroid holders?

Yes, but I don't think that compatibility works all ways.

I haven't seen that stuff since the 1980's. It sure was convenient. I used both daylight and tungsten. At that time it was for use in 545 holder. I have no idea how well it would work in the other holders.

Polaroid only works in a Polaroid holder.

I think there was a time period when Polaroid also marketed conventional E-6 slide film in 35mm form also, in addition to their Instant slide films. I am sure it was relabeled from some other maker, although Polaroid certainly had the technology to coat an E-6 compatible film.

polachrome and polapan polaroid instant 35mm film was
beautiful stuff. i was so sad when they stopped making it.

Surely you jest, when referring to Polachrome instant slide film?? If I recall, it was dark and murky and had a visible line pattern, kinda like scanning lines on a TV.
