I just won a Polaroid back on feebait. Before I go messing something up, what is the sequence for shooting and winding shutter after an exposure with such a device?. TIA

On my 501cm it's the same as with a normal film back... shoot, crank & reset. Then, pull the white tab out of the side of the pola back, then in one smooth motion pull the black tab along with the print / negative combo out.

So, I take it there are no issues with not having a windable film back on the body. Thanks.

None that I know of.

I would suggest that you pull the darkslide before you try to expose the film
(the usual interlock will prvent the shutter form tripping), and I usually replace the darkslide before pulling the tab.

It is a **very** good idea to periodically disassemle the roller assembly in the Polariod Back and clean things thoroughly with a paper tissue and water.
Saves a LOT of film.

I used to go so far as to remove the back each time I pulled to relieve the stress on the joint between the camera and back. The backs are not as substantially made as the camera and you can loosen the joint and cause light leaks if not careful.

Good advice, and I shall follow it. Boy, Ed, do I know about dirty rollers. I once had an MP-4 copy camera to look after.
