I've got a reasonable stash of Polaroid 600 twin packs expiring 7/09 and I have a bit of a dilemma.

Like so many these days I'm a bit short of cash so thought maybe I'd sell a few on the old ebay. I bought them back when they were a not cheap, but not terrible yet £15 from Stanley Productions in Soho. Looks like they get £20-25 now.

I've used some that expired in 12/08 that looked fine but out there on the net there are many different views of how long out of date you can get decent results. Some say 18 months, others a couple. Its also relevant as my spies tell me Stanley still has a tonne of Image expired 12/08 and 2/09.
Is there a real answer? I know you cant freeze it because of the battery, but what if I keep it in the fridge?

Now part of me suspects that when and if the Impossible Project starts production they will get into Lomography rapaciousness of £5 an exposure or something evil so I should hold on to what I've got and use it up until I have to switch to whatever they come up with. I would not be amazed if it was at least £2.50 an exposure from Impossible in the best case.

Another part of me thinks I've got more than I need and should unload a couple when they are in date.

Any thoughts/advice out there much appreciated!

If you keep it between 1 and 5 degrees (Celsius), it should keep for a while. I have used expired film before, and as long as it was in the fridge, the colors were acceptable up to 3 years past expiration.

I think that 18 months will still give good results.
