Has anyone come up with a good use for the old 545 sheet film holder? I've got a bunch of them & they need new homes!

I was under the impression that Impossible was not going to pursue peel apart sheet film of the sort that fits in the 545 series holders. If they are going to make peel aparts, sign me up! I loved that stuff in my speed graphic.

There are no stated plans as yet. Even through communications with Marlene Kelnreiter I was under the impression that 4x5 was way down on the list of peel aparts.

You know the film is coming back, right?

Is it really? They discuss 8x10 and even the 20x24 but no mention of 4x5 except the leftover stuff from Polaroid in their shop.

I think you could use them for Fuji Quickload film.

Yeah, I figure it will be quite a while before the 4x5 sheet films come back on the market- if at all.

I'm going to keep my 545 Pro holder, just in case... So- if anyone wants an older 545 let me know... Yours for the shipping!

Same here. For keeping. Couldn't even find a taker for shipping only when I felt like bothering. Now it's outta sight, almost outta mind.

I bought mine off of ebay about 2 months before it was discontinued. Never even used it once.

Well, I have more doors than doorstops- so that's probably what they'll be used for!

Same here, only I got to use it. Now I'm hungry for more. But seeing the current rate, not quite that hungry.

Acutally, the 545Pro handles Fuji Quickloads (acros, velvia, etc.) with no problems.

Yeah...but I believe Quickloads are on the way out...I have 80 PN55's left and they are OLD...after them, it's a Museum piece

I've used Velvia in those Quickload envelopes with the 545 holder. They're great. Holds a lot of film in a compact space and light weight. No need to load them so they're dust-free. They're kinda expensive though :-(

Fuji announced that it is ceasing production of Quickload packaging in April 2010.

Fujifilm has stocks of Quickload Pro 160S, Provia 100F, Velvia 100 and Velvia 50 in storage and, depending on demand, there should be sufficient quantities to last for another 12 months.
