Hi guys!...please could you give me opinions about this lens?...is it a good glass?...please help me!

Yes. the Series 1 version is very good.

Yes, the Series 1 Vivtars were were excellent performers and I used several of them in the 80s. However, due to their mostly all metal construction they are a tad heavy.

Neil.

In the early 90s, I used two Vivitar Series 1 lenses, a 35-75mm (f=1:2,8) and a 75-210mm (f=1:3,5) (not sure about the exact focal distances) on a Canon A1 and AE1 program. The quality was outstanding, but they were very heavy. The 35-75mm lens had a very large front diameter too (around 80mm or so).
I had one problem with the telelens: the ring for setting focal distance was moving too easily, it was sliding when holding the lens vertically (sorry for my bad English...).

IT's pretty good, from the first and only worthwhile series of Series 1 lenses. I have contemporary lens tests posted from modern photo and pop photo, which include this lens, at www.edsawyer.com/lenstests/
