I have read that in Platinum toning of Kallitypes you use sodium citrate or citric acid. Are these the same chemicals?

Christopher James book says Sodium Citrate where Sandy King says to use Citric Acid.

Thus which should I use?

sodium citrate is a developer. You can easily make your own from sodium carbonate and citric acid.
citric acid is used for clearing
some toners, including platinum, can include a small amount of citric acid

Citric acid is useful in a number of alt processes. I buy it 5 and 10 pounds at a time.
