Ok,

I think I need a doctor. Has anyone seen the prices for Platinum lately?

This, of course, begs the next question: Anyone know of a inexpensive source?

Haven't looked at platinum, but copper has hit me in the butt. 10 years ago when I worked in it, I could get a coil of 300' of 6 guage copper for $32. 3 months ago it was up to $82. 3 weeks ago it was up to $119. and last week it had gone up to $173. This is just copper. So the prices of platinum must be obscene.

Robert if yopu know of a way to make solid platinum into what you need in a solution form, I have about 2 ounces I could make a deal at the old price to you for.

Try www.mostlymetals.com. He's an alt printer and buys in quantity for a few people, so he often has good prices. I've bought gold chloride from him.

I watched these links the last time I made a very large palladium order (May '03) and bought near the market low. I'm still working from that buy.

I would recommend Engelhard Corporation http://www.engelhard.com/ for the best prices on Palladium (II) Chloride. I believe their minimum order is ~$500. Prices get significantly better if your order more than 200 gm. I don't use much platinum, so haven't bought it in years.
