if you don't mind and ortho look, Ultrafine has a fine grain dupe film, .007 thick, less than $1 a sheet, Start with an EI of about 3. Develops in Dektol quite nicely.

Regarding the Plasticca lens and the "landscape" photo example at the beginning of this thread. Was that made with both the front and rear elements of the lens - seems that sometimes the rear element is missing and then the lens gives lots of strange effect.

I need to make a family portrait like Emil's. This page is a who's who of lenses! Mercy. I have a few too :D That Dallmeyer is trash...send it to me so I can fixit.

by the way; a 400 plasticca was just sold at Ebay for 765$....

dobble price than the cost of mine - which was in a shutter....:tongue:

nothing seems to be missing on the lens.
it is almost like a Diana lens in LF..

A bargain at twice the price. A Gundlach achromatic Meniscus just sold earlier today for $1025.00 US. Holy crap batman! :surprised:

I think these absurd lens prices are a conspiracy by Jim Galli. Five years from now he'll have sold all his film gear and be sitting on the beach on his own Caribbean island shooting digital... :D
