Hi APUGers!

I think this is my first post here on the forum, and I need your help! I am currently studying in Singapore and will be going on an exchange program for half a year to Wien Universität in, well, Vienna! I am wondering if I should pack my film gear with me on the trip, since I am not too sure where exactly I will be able to get supplies from when over in Vienna. Can anybody help me out? Suggestions about must-see places or must-eat foods will be most welcome as well! :D

Have a great day!

There are two or three places in Westbahnstrasse, and also in the same street is the Museum of Cameras and Photography.

There's several camera and photography stores in the "Westbahnstraße", you can even get accessories and darkroom supplies there. Then there's photophilia nearby in the Lindengasse (http://www.photophilia.at/) - you can order at fotofachversand.com and choose to pick your stuff up there. They also have darkrooms you can use if you ask nicely. We currently have an exhibition on their premises and there's a monthly film-photography meeting there (see website for details, though you might have to use google's translation service  ).
As far as development is concerned - if you don't want to do it yourself - I can recommend http://www.cyberlab.at/ - they even offer customised b&w hand development. If you want it done for cheap, you can get your film processed at pretty much every grocery and drugstore where they have a photo-booth. They send them off to big labs so it usually takes about a week before you get your prints back. However DO NOT let these stores develop traditional b&w film as they do not run customised development.
