Some of you people are bushwalkers - right.
Where, in Melbourne or within reasonable travel, do you get the pink plastic tape to mark bush tracks as we have seen on the walk to Alambie Beek falls?
I have tried Lincraft, Spotlight, Officeworks, Bunnings, Ray's Outdoors, various camping shops. I'm about to ring up Kathmandu.

Any suggestions?

Peter.

That stuff is also known as "surveyor's tape" and comes in a multitude of colors. Ask your local survey guy or tree guy. Around here, all the big DIY chains carry it.

If you're going out bush and you're scared that you'll get lost and want to mark your trail so you can make it back safely, I hear breadcrumbs also work...

Bread Crumbs

The only trouble is that we have birds, lizards, snakes and insects in the Otways, all of which are partial to bread crumbs.
I think polythene tape might survive a bit longer.

Anyway were you heading to need that?

I'm going to have a crack at finding Upper Cumberland Falls and Yannathan falls and Cascades.
Gary Higgins had a go, I believe and didn't succeed. I've imported maps from the ORWTA into OziExplorer and think I might succeed with the help of a GPS.

After Cup Weekend last November, I led a group of six members of my four-wheel drive club into Staircase and Alambie Beek falls. I also took them on a tour of a few Otways scenic points.
They had a ball that weekend and this is to be a sequel at the end of May.

I've been itching to get down that way again some time soon. If you end up with room for one or two more tag-alongs, I'll stick my hand up!!

I'll keep you in mind. Bear in mind that if you do come along, you'll be stung $10 for a temporary club membership - insurance doncha know!
