Pinhole Book recommendstions

Hi,

I just currently got bit by the pinhole bug and would love to learn more about pinhole photography. I very much enjoyed Eric Renner's pinhole photography book and am looking for other advice on books about pinhole photography, which are worth reading.

Renner's book may be the Bible of pinhole photography if there is one. Beyond that, I don't know that there's a whole lot out there. Many of them are tailored to children and hobbyists who want to make their own pinhole cameras -- some which include templates that you can use. I did see one such book in the past year. The camera designs were kind of juvenile, but it did include some good photographs.

You might do better to find some good blogs and online resources. f295.org, for example, is an excellent resource.

As for books, Eric Renner's book is far more comprehensive than any other that I've seen. Jim Shull published a couple of light-hearted books about basic pinhole photography years ago, The Hole Thing and The Beginner's Guide to Pinhole Photography. Googling for pinhole photography will lead to endless information, good and bad.

If you are not looking for information to make your own pinhole camera... I bought the Ilford Titan shortly after it was available here and have not only enjoyed using it but have gotten very pleasing results. I printed their exposure calculator and attached them to plastic discs and assembled it as per their instructions. Load film, establish exposure time and have fun. I've printed a number of the negatives in pt/pd.

More good stuff. The stanford foamcore 4x5 pinhole is what got me hooked.
