As Iunderstand the "film" doers not and should not dry out, apparently this happens in fluid state.

Well, that's okay, you can probably maintain enough humidity or you can use a solvent that doesn't evaporate very quickly. Simply storing a plate in a cool box with some water in it will keep it wet indefinitely.

Fail to see the connection with OP, but do you have a link to those top class lenses for "next to nothing" I'm looking for a good outfit for my Plaubel Makiflex......
(and I'm pondering upon how to get this photopolymer stuff onto glass plates, to utilize this as photo plates in the 4x5 glass negative carrier in said camera..................... ISO 1 - 8 maybe?)

Maybe I used the wrong tense of the verb, I should have said were snapped up.

The G-Claron, APO-Artar, Germinar, and many many other popular lenses were originally made for phototypesetting and repro photography. By now those lenses that weren't snapped up in time have all ended up in landfills. Lens mining, anyone?

Some Holography plates use photopolymers. Check with www.slavich.ru ?

Whatever solvent you desire, I am fairly certain it can be kept from drying or a reasonable period. Unless it is especially volatile.

I don't like being around open containers of organic solvents, volotile or non-volatile, they are all deadly....

Allowed to mix freely with air neither is any good, the famous 20% mixtuire comes to mind.............

Photopolymers are generally high to very high contrast materials. They are available in both negative and direct positive formulations. They are, indeed, interesting. You can dye some of them either before or after exposure and development, which introduces some interesting possibilities along the line of carbon printing. A very nice and easy to use variation is photopolymer printing plates and film. These are used extensively by artists to create either intaglio or relief prints. You can use an aquatint screen pre-exposure to get quite reasonable continuous tone images. I saw an excellent set of work using this process last year at the Verve Gallery. There are several suppliers of these materials and several varieties and uses for them. One of the most popular with artists seems to be DuPont's ImagOn Ultra. Check suppliers for fine arts graphics materials for more information.

This will not happen here. The data will not be forthcoming, since I discovered in another thread that the mere mention of a scanner, and other digital means of diplaying one's work here fired off threats of being dispelled to "dpug" whatever that is, and postings being censored/deleted.

Since I cannot do this with anything else than a scanner, it will not happen. There. SCANNER. Delete this.

I replied to you with a post about process solutions. It did not involve scanners or anything forbidden by APUG, but it skirted what EK might have approved.

Why not do it in spite of the critics and show you are a good sport.

Redundant now, look at the previous post. But what is tiresome is all the wannabe cops that do not take time to read the posts or think through what they apparently did not read - I'm not talking about you Ron!

This constant policing of anyone that MIGHT have another opinion slows down the thought process and takes the focus away from what is important.

The thing was actrually quoted out of context turned 180 degrees upside down, and the acted upon by one of the moderators that also was unable to think straight.

And raising hell because a scanner was mentioned seems VERY stupid,¨my whole objective all along was that I don't accept half solutions that yealds developed films that cannot be uysed in a darkroom, this means some sort of pre or post processing of color films processed to B&W, to have universally useable negatives, but - with a scanner this is not very important.

There are tons of systems derived from Oster's approach mentioned in the above article.

I assume something like the one here (http://river-valley.tv/pva-photopolymer-for-classroom-holography/) might be fine-tuned into something "photographic".
