We are very pleased to announce that we are now able to offer "The Mounting and Laminating Handbook" by Chris A. Paschke, CPF GCF. This book is the picture framing industry resource for everything about picture mounting. This book covers everything from Dry Mounting to hinge mounting and spray mounting. It goes into great detail about the critical elements of mounting: Time, Temperature, Pressure, and Moisture. The book also goes into details of laminating. Chris Paschke is the Technical Mounting Editor for Picture Framing Magazine and author of the monthly column "Mastering Mounting" since 1991. She has also done consultation work with many mounting equipment and substrate manufacturers and has tested just about every product out there.

The book has been available through framing trade organizations but now you can more easily purchase the book here:

Hi,

Would you consider shipping this book to Canada?

Thanks,

Patrick

fdi, not a framing question per se, but I'm wondering if it might be possible to order some of this particular glass cut down to sizes I might use to construct a negative carrier. I'm asking because I've been experimenting over the years with different types of both optical and framing glass in negative carriers. GroGlass is one I've wanted to try but could never get a response from them directly.

Apologies for the odd request but figured I'd ask anyway. What would be the smallest size one could order? Etc.

Michael

You can order custom sizes directly on our website. In the size pull-down, just select the first choice which is custom and then you can enter you own dimensions. The website allows you to order down to 3x3 inches. We can do smaller, but we would still charge for 3x3 since it is all about the labor at that point.

Let us know how this project goes if you are using it for the ANR glass part....
