I've been trying to locate a stockist for Pictorico OHP film in the UK as I need a pack of A4 film in order to experiment with digital negatives. Has anyone found a stockist in England? Nova is the official stockist but don't seem to have had any for a longtime. I've tried several other makes, but have yet to find anything that gives acceptable results in either a 1290 or 2400 printer.

Hi Dave

Silverprint used to stock it but i have not been able to find it anywhere in the U.K so i would also be interested, however at the moment i am using Permajets version which Nova supply. I have been happy with the results and i think it may be slightly cheaper than Pictorico. 10 Sheets A4 for £12 and £23 for 10 sheets of A3. I believe Kentmere do a version to which i will try at some stage to.

Good luck, hope you get some good results.

Thanks for that. I emailed Nova four days ago, since they are the official supplier of Pictorico, but have not had a reply. I checked Permajets web but could not find a reference to OHP film, but will look again. I have some of the Kentmere K.Translucent film, but it is no good for this application, unless you want a "developed in Rodinal" look to your digi-negs,:surprised: also the Epson 2400 printer will not except it as it does not lay flat enough. The best results I've had so far is with cheap OHP film from my local supermarket, until I can find some Pictorico I shall continue with that.

Dave,
This has been covered recently over on hybridphoto.com. Here's a link to the relevant page. http://www.hybridphoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64

Dave, Bostick and Sullivan have the Pictorico OHP on their web page. Could be your chance if you can't find it in the UK.

Thanks Jan, the shipping cost rules out importing it I'm afraid since it adds 70$ to the price. I am about to order some Permajet 52111 film from RH Designs to try.

Agfa Copyjet OHP is available from jigsaw24.com in the UK. I'm using it successfully for pt/pd negs.

Funny, we can't get Agfa Copyjet here in the states. I've heard from several sources that it is a good product.

Well, it works! I have no idea how it compares to Pictorico though, for the same reasons outlined above.

Thanks for that, I had a look at the Copyjet, although it's buried deep on their web site. I'm interested in the Permajet product because it is also available in A3 sheets , which I will need if it works. For the moment I shall experiment with the A4 size.

A3 and A3+ Copyjet are also available on that site somewhere.

I don't want to be a grumpy bugger, but does questions about what to use for printing on an inkjet really belong on APUG?

I beg to differ - I think it's just a sneaky backdoor to discuss digi-whiz things under the guise of alternative processes but okay, go ahead and enjoy yourselves.

It does under Alternative Processes, where enlarged negatives may be required.

Strictly speaking it belongs under the new hybridphoto forum, which was set up for just this kind of discussion.

This discussion has been allowed to run here on APUG only because we have no simple way of moving a whole thread over there.

I have no problem with a thread like this appearing here, because it's relevant to people who shoot film on smaller formats but want to make enlarged negatives for Alt Processes.

For those who are not interested in these techniques, and finding supplies, they can simply ignore the thread.

I am not interested particularly in Toy Cameras, but I don't check in to their threads to make sure they're not discussing an idea that doesn't belong on the site.

I appreciate the intent of keeping this site about all film, all the time, but don't think we should throw the baby out with the bath water. This is a valuable thread.

Frankly, the Hybrid Forum hasn't developed a lot of traction. We're all used to coming and talking here.

Thanks for the clarifications, and apologies to anyone who found my wording out of line. It was not my intention to play wannabe moderator.

Pictorico is a digital product and should be discussed on the Hybrid Forum. More in depth discussions can be made there about materials used for making digital negatives.

Why take a half assed approach here?
