Hi all,

I usually get Pictorico OHP from B&S in the US, but since I'm going to be in Toronto for a couple of weeks soon I was wondering if anyone knows of any place there that I can buy some?

Since we're on the subject (though I'm maybe flogging-a-dead-horse here), has anyone heard of anywhere in the UK that's started stocking it?

Thanks in advance,

Angus

AFAIK there has never been a stockist for Pictorico OHP in CANADA for as long as I've been using it (since 2001). I think there's actually a greater chance that someone in the UK may carry it though probably at a premium over ordering it from B+S.

I have not yet found a source for pictorico in the U.K, i dont think there is one. I am using Agfa copyjet that is supposidly very close to pictorico, it seems to hold as much ink. You can get copyjet from quite a few places in the u.k. if you check on google.

Following quite a bit of investigation, and phone calls, I can confirm that Pictorico OHP is not officially imported into the UK anymore, and from what I can gather, has not been for almost two years now.

I've got a whole range of different answers as to why not from the offical importer, and so other companies I rang who used to get it in too, ranging from: it became too expensive to import because of the value of the pound; Agfa CopyJet is the most used film in Europe for screen printing via inkjet; Mitsubishi always had stock issues meaning it was always hard to get hold of in small(er) quantities; quality control problems, resulting in a lot of complains/returns.....to my favorite reason: we couldn't be bothered to deal with Mitsubishi anymore!

I converted to Permajet OHP film, but have found quality control to be poor, may go back to CopyJet (used to use it with my old Epson 2100).....not sure if it will work with my B9180 though as I don't have any left to test, and its a high initial outlay to buy CopyJet.....anyone out there willing to sell a few sheets to me to try?

Hi James,

Did you try asking for samples? That's what I allways do and most companies are willing to send you some sheets to try.
I have found another Pictorico alternative: SIHL 3642 - Spirit Film 130. Sihl is a swiss company that produces and coats inkjet papers under their own brand and for others (including Hahnemhle I learned recently) It's as good as Pictorico and CopyJet and even a bit cheaper than CopyJet. I get it directly from Sihl in the Netherlands (with samples first) and they have probably a UK agent to.

Yep I have requested some samples of Agfa Copyjet and they arrived yesterday, so all I need now is a bit of free time to give CopyJet a try in my B9180...fingers crossed!
