Good advice on the stickers, may have to try that myself. Currently I write my notes in a small note book along with the film holder number. Another thing that I have started doing on the recommendation of a forum member is putting my holder in quart ziplock freezer bags. This is to protect the holder both from dust and to prevent the dark slide for being accidently opened. Works great.

Ok got my shutter tester working, and now I know all the speeds on my shutters, not to far off, only on the high speeds and once shutter bounce at 1/500 so I won't use that.

Now all I need is the weekend and dry weather and off I go :D

Now all I need is the weekend and dry weather and off I go :D

Weather forecast is for sunshine and light wind on Saturday. A slight possibility of snow overnight, and a sunny, still day on Sunday.

You have the camera, a few sheets of film, and good weather. No excuses to post the results on Monday

I am sure I can come up with something....haha but no I will not let you down, I know a nice little place to take it, me and it alone, together, shifting and tilting!

Congrats! You'll have fun--enjoy the experience. There is an active LF group in the UK isn't there?

Well I went out today and took two photos (3 hours of walking), all seemed easy to load the film in the dark, much easier than loading 35mm on a spool.
Enjoyed the camera, had a few people come up to me interested in what I was doing and had, so I blagged that one :D

So now all is left is to develop in trays in the dark :S normally I'm using my iphone as a timer so I need to give this some thought.

Really please don't expect anything great, this was more of a test of camera, but tomorrow after scanning I will post two images.

I've had an antique large format field camera sitting for years in a trunk here so you're ahead of me and anything you make is a start so I'm excited for you! A start is a start right? No pressure! LOL!

Paul the prints are made, first bit of printing in a month, also using f/stop timing for the first time, and the Technique outlined in Way beyond Monochrome (amazing book) shame the pictures ain't to the same standard...haha

I bet you all can't wait till tomorrow

Just developed another film tonight. I love the fact you can just concentrate on one image from start to finish, everything I have been learning last year with medium format seems to be fitting in place. I LOVE LARGE FORMAT!!!!! its the future!
