Those of you who have the "Photographing with Fred Picker" video may recall that he refers to his favorite local shooting location as "Point Lobos East".

"The difference", he says, "is that no one knows about it but me."

Does anyone know where in (I assume) Vermont "Point Lobos East" is to be found?

No, but my personal Point Lobos in Massachusetts is...

Don't have a clue what he might have meant.

But, from personal experience with both, I'd vote
for Pemaquid point in Maine.

First thing which came to my mind was Pemaquid Point...

It is a 20-foot section of river near Threadford Vermont. I don't remember the name of the river. It is off the road and across a field. It is said to be a really good trout-fishing stream.

How about Acadia National Park, Schoodic Point, Otters Point? Big Branch Wilderness, VT, Black Pt, Rhode Island?

Thanks for chiming in, Richard.

I can't find a town named Threadford in VT. Do you mean Thetford?

Yes that is correct it is between there and Wells river. It is a small stream. I've been there with Fred he would take me there one way and leave in another direction. So finding it is hard. I checked my photo maps and it doesn't appear to be marked.

Yeah, I'm sure it is. Got into NY this morning around 6:00 am, around 28 degrees.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you get back home soon. But, not to worry, have a major thunderstorm going on right now - there is also a flash flood warning that has been issued.

Richard: Is that the section of river where the video was shot? If so, it didn't look too far off the road.

Well, we do call Lake Champlain on the Burlington side "the West Coast of New England". East? I know old Pick did some things at Schoodic. I'll bet it's there.
