As I gain additional permission, I hope to eventually add several new images per day. If you are an Instagram user, following us would be greatly appreciated. You can also start hashtagging #Photrio or #photrio.insta in your Instagram posts as a way to help spread the word of our community.
Thanks for the infoAFAIK tags don'nt support non-letters. I.e. #photrio.insta will become #photrio. The remainder will be in the text but not highlighted as a tag and as such not picked up by the database. Not even dashes work!
That's why you see German style has tags like #comejoinphotriotodaybeforeitistoolate.
Thanks for the info. I'll get them back up on mobile soon.Hi Sean, The possibility exists that I'm just being daft, but I can't find any social media icons anywhere on the mobile platform. It's not much of a issue for me as I don't have accounts with any of them, but I'm sure there are a LOT of people who do use them!
I've seen the 'Latest from Instagram' on the home page which I imagine opens Photrio's Instagram if one were to click on any of the photos, but there are no icons anywhere specifically linked to your Instagram, Facebook or Twitter account. I checked logged in and logged out and all of the sub menus.
I'm happy to provide screen grabs if required
Thanks JulieThis is great. I set up an Instagram account just for film photography a while ago but don't use it much...this will probably spur me to look at it more often. I've followed and retroactively hashtagged my small number of photos with the two suggested tags.
Thanks Julie
Sounds like Instagram's system which is beyond my control. Is the default behaviour set to open in current tab/window (which is annoying)?
I think pdeeh means the link at the top of the photrio page. Could be <a href="blah blah" target="_blank"> or whatever the best way to accomplish that is these days.Sounds like Instagram's system which is beyond my control.
@pdeeh ah right, fixed.I think pdeeh means the link at the top of the photrio page. Could be <a href="blah blah" target="_blank"> or whatever the best way to accomplish that is these days.
Great suggestion thanks. I plan to rehash everything like you mention and will also add relevant popular hashtags as well. I was waiting to have a bit of activity first and now there is enough to get hashing. I found a good Android app emulator for MacOS as well which allows me to do most of this from my desktop.I've started following photrio on instagram. My suggestion would be to hashtag all the descriptive words - rather than Horseman 8x10 HP5 etc put #horseman #8x10 #hp5 That way anyone searching those terms via instagram will easily find them. It's up to you if you double up - i.e. write the words in normal english and then also run them as hashtags, or have them just as hashtags. As someone wrote earlier the hashtag system doesn't allow punctuation within words so rather than #tri-x for example you have to put #trix If you put #tri-x the hashtag will be #tri with an orphaned x beside it.
Done! Just noticed you have followed me. Geez, you're quick!
