Photos in memory of my dear friend

I lost a dear friend this week. I've known her for 30 years, but had moved away from St. Louis, and we had lost touch for a few years. We used to go to cafes and wineries, and just hang out together. She was always uncomfortable having her photo taken, but she knew I was passionate about photography, and she was such a good sport about letting me take photos of her. She was a sweet, dear friend... taken far too soon. I'm stunned, and am struggling to process this. I went looking for photos of her today, and found some of my old darkroom prints. I've been sharing them with her friends and family.

I treasure her memory, and I so treasure these photos now.

It's wonderful that you got to be each other's friend. Great images, her family will treasure them, this is one of the ways that photographers can provide a very meaningful benefit to others, beyond simply engaging in the hobby/profession for ourselves. Well done.

In the end, once we are gone, the photos (and videos) will be what remains to assist us as we remember departed friends. I'm glad you have these and other photos -- cherish them.
